FAQ

Fill in the booking form at the bottom of this page with your availability and requirements. We’ll send over availability and payment details.

You can take up to 4 121 lessons in a single day with a 15 minute break between each one. 

So you can finish a 10 hour course in 2 and a half days, or a 20 hour course in 5 days. 

Alternatively, you can spread the lessons over anything up to 4 weeks, so you can do 2 or 3 lessons each week for 1 level, or 5 lessons per week for 2 levels. 

The timetable for 121 intensives is flexible, so let us know your requirements when you book. 

Intensive courses are only weekday daytime. If you would like evening 121s, see our individual training page. If you would like evening groups, see the weekly group training page. 

Our teachers will speak at normal native speed in class, so it is essential that learners can follow this without getting lost. The courses are suitable on this basis, for high intermediate to proficient level speakers. If you’re not sure your level is right, contact us or take an assessment.

Intensive groups are strictly limited to 5 per group – you are guaranteed individual attention.

Yes – the intensive courses are designed to give every learner individual attention as the group size is small – a maximum of 5.

We don’t allow recording of group courses for privacy reasons. You can record 121 training for personal use. 

Level 3 – Phonetics and Level 4 – Accent Training are not covered on the group intensive, however, you can join these weekly groups after your course if you’d like to learn more.

It is possible to take levels 3 and 4 in a 121 intensive, we design this based on requirements. In order to do these courses you need to have a solid grasp of the fundamental aspects of pronunciation: phonemics and intonation.

You can cancel your booking minus a 10% admin fee up to 5 days before the course is due to take place. After this, no refund is available.

The group course includes both ‘The Sound of English’ ebooks with audio. You can access these as soon as you enrol.

All classes are taught by Pronunciation Studio’s IPA certified teaching team Joseph, Tom, David and Zainab. Every member of the team has over 10 years’ classroom experience.

Currently Joseph is teaching most of the online groups. 

We expect to run the intensive once every 2 or 3 months throughout the year, however, this depends on demand. If you would like a course to be put on, please contact us with your preference and we will try to accommodate.

Yes, you can take the course anywhere – just make sure you alter the times to match the local time where you are.
