Join us for a free 60 minute live online introduction to British English sounds, intonation and accents. You’ll learn how to use IPA to improve your pronunciation and how accent training works.

What’s Covered?

In the 60 minute class (via Zoom) we cover the 3 essentials of accent training:

Sounds

We cover the 20 English vowel sounds and 24 consonant sounds using an IPA chart.

Intonation

We learn about the basis of intonation: stress and tone. And we’ll try a trick for clear sentence stress.

Accent Variations

We’ll see accent modification in action as we tour the UK & Ireland to spot some features.
