In the assessment, your teacher will assess your speech in different ways: natural conversation, repetition and reciting. The assessment is suitable whether you are new to studying pronunciation or an advanced learner – we’ll find your level and see where you can improve.

A 60 minute class via Zoom or in London with one of our IPA certified teachers focused on your speech.

Your personalised IPA chart (see below) and notes for use as a guide to help you work on your pronunciation.

After your assessment we’ll send your personalised IPA chart, showing which of the 44 sounds you should work on (in blue), and listing any other focus areas in intonation, connected speech and accent.

This will help you to focus your efforts on the areas that are most important for your skills, also indicating where you don’t need to spend time.

    Although it sounds very formal, an assessment is a relaxed environment where one of our teachers will hear you speak naturally, and take you through the sounds and intonation of English.

    Your teacher will explain the areas you are doing well, and the areas you can learn with practice.

    After the assessment you will have a clear indication of how to improve and which areas to focus on.

    We talk at normal native speed, so our training is suitable for high intermediate to proficient speakers.

    The assessment is suitable for any English speaker who wishes to alter their speech. So whether you are a second language speaker looking to improve your pronunciation skills, or a native speaker looking to learn different accents, we can help.
