What’s Covered?

In the 45 minute class (via Zoom) we cover the essentials of IPA:

Sounds

Pronounce the 20 English vowel sounds and 24 consonant sounds using an IPA chart.

Symbols

Practise using phonemic symbols for sounds and how to use IPA transcriptions. 

Variations

Learn about common variations in IPA and allophones caused by accent differences.

FAQ

It’s a fun, 60 minute pronunciation class. We’ll cover the basics of sound production, a bit of intonation and explore how accent training works.

We will email the link.

We limit places to a maximum of 10, so you will get some individual attention.

After the intro class, we send out the course voucher of £9.99 to use on any Pronunciation Studio online, group or 121 course.

We talk at normal native speed, so our training is suitable for high intermediate to proficient speakers.

If you are interested in learning about accents and phonetics, absolutely!

We try to mix up the dates and times a lot, so keep checking back for new options. If you have a specific time you would like us to run the class, do get in touch and we’ll try to meet your requirements.
