Description
Speakers of Latin languages (French, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish) share specific obstacles when learning English pronunciation.
In this course we cover the 44 sounds of GB English and focus specifically on the areas that are different in Latin accents. In particular we focus on:
- Weak vs strong syllables.
- Mouth positions and movements for vowel sounds.
- Production of specific consonant sounds.
- Connected speech.
These areas form the DNA of the accent, so with practice and repetition, learners gain control over their pronunciation skills and learn how to modify their accent.
