Intensive courses are available from Monday June 26th to Friday 15th September. Please note that we have limited spaces available for London courses, so if you are planning to study face to face, please get in touch in advance to confirm availability.

Classes are taken anytime Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00 (if you require a timetable outside of this time, please see standard individual training).

Intensive courses must be completed within 7 days, so for example, if you start on a Wednesday, your course finishes on or before the following Tuesday.

3 courses are available – 2 hours (£175), 4 hours (£299) and 8 hours (£575). We recommend 1 or 2 hours’ training a day, activities will be given to complete between classes.

Timetables are flexible – you can choose your days and times. If you have very specific timetable requirements please contact us below to confirm availability.

FAQ

We design your course based on your requirements. This can include the basics of pronunciation such as sounds, joining and intonation. Or it can go into more advanced areas of accent and phonetics.

The basis of our individual training is to create the most targeted path to improvement.

If you want to learn about the areas that would most benefit your learning, you could start with a 60 minute Starter Class either online or in London.

Yes, you can take either course individually either in London or online. Individual courses have flexible timetables so you can spread your classes out or take them intensively.

The price for individual training is:

4 Hours | £375
8 Hours | £675
16 Hours | £119

To complete 1 level, it would normally take 8 hours, so if you would like to take 2 levels – a 16 hour course would be suitable. Full individual course details are found here.

If you are visiting London to take the courses, we recommend London University Rooms for good quality budget accommodation – they rent spare rooms at London’s universities.

If you are looking for Bed & Breakfast options, the local area of Bloomsbury has many more traditional options.

Our location is very near to Kings Cross station, which has fast transport links to most areas of London. If you want to check transport options, see Transport for London’s site.

Our courses are designed for high intermediate to proficient speakers of English. Our teachers speak at normal speed in class, so it’s important that you can follow this in order to gain the most from the course.

The teachers on the 2023 intensive courses are Tom, Zainab and Joe. Each member of the team is IPA certified and has over 10 years of experience at Pronunciation Studio. Learn more about us here. 

We use standard non-regional English as the teaching model. This has several names:

  • SSB (Standard Southern British)
  • GB (General British)
  • RP (Received Pronunciation)
  • Modern RP

All of these names refer to the same accent model. If you’d like to hear it, you can download the sample of the course book or try the online lessons.

The courses include The Sound of English – you will receive the ebook version when you purchase your course. The paperback book is given out when you attend the first day.

Level 2 includes The Sound of English Intonation which you will receive at the beginning of the course.

After purchasing the course you can receive a full refund (minus £15 admin fee) up to 5 days before the course begins. Within 5 days of the course start date we cannot provide refunds.

You can change the date of your course once up to 5 days before the course is due to begin – this costs £15.
